How we publish

Editorial policy

Our standard is useful, original financial education that shows its assumptions, distinguishes estimates from official calculations, and gives readers a clear way to challenge an error.

Purpose and scope

Kasyafi publishes general financial education, decision frameworks, and calculators. We aim to help readers understand a question and prepare a next step. We do not publish personalized financial, investment, tax, legal, lending, or accounting advice.

Every public page should have a clear reason to exist independently of search traffic or advertising. A page must answer the stated question, disclose important limits, and connect the reader to an appropriate tool, source, or next explanation.

How articles are produced

  1. Define the reader’s decision. We identify the actual question, the information needed, and what the page cannot decide.
  2. Research primary material. Regulated topics begin with current government, regulator, or program-owner publications. Secondary material may help explain context but does not replace a controlling source.
  3. Write an original explanation. We use our own structure, examples, tables, and checklists. We do not assemble pages by lightly rewriting other websites.
  4. Check claims and calculations. Rates, thresholds, formulas, and dates are compared with the sources linked on the page and with the relevant calculator implementation.
  5. Publish maintenance details. Articles display publication, update, and source-verification dates. Material changes receive a new update date.

Software and automated tools, including AI-assisted drafting or organization, may support the production process. They are not treated as authorities and do not turn a page into professionally reviewed advice. Factual claims, calculations, and citations remain subject to the same primary-source and correction standards described here.

Source hierarchy

For Philippine payroll and government-program topics, we prefer the Official Gazette, Bureau of Internal Revenue, Social Security System, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG Fund, Department of Labor and Employment, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, and other responsible agencies. We link directly to the most specific accessible circular, table, advisory, law, or program page available.

For a bank, card, loan, insurance, or investment product, the provider’s current agreement, disclosure, and statement control. We avoid presenting one provider’s terms as a universal rule.

Accuracy, uncertainty, and examples

We label simplified calculations as estimates. Examples use round figures to make a concept visible; they are not forecasts or testimonials. Future investment returns and dividends are assumptions, not promises. When a rule depends on employment status, compensation type, membership, timing, or provider policy, the page says so.

Calculator methodology is documented separately so readers can inspect the purpose, inputs, formula, rounding, assumptions, source basis, and known differences from official computations. See the calculation methodology.

Advertising and commercial independence

Eligible public educational pages may carry display advertising. Ad placement does not change an article’s conclusion, a calculator’s result, or the inclusion of an official source. Kasyafi’s private financial workspace and trust, contact, policy, and legal pages are not public ad inventory.

If Kasyafi introduces sponsorships, affiliate links, or paid placements, they must be clearly labeled near the relevant content. Unlabeled commercial influence is not permitted under this policy.

Corrections and updates

Readers can report a factual, calculation, link, accessibility, or clarity issue through the corrections contact. We compare the report with primary evidence, update confirmed material errors, and change the visible update date. Minor spelling or formatting fixes may not receive a separate correction note.

When a correction meaningfully changes a conclusion or result, the affected page should explain what changed. We do not silently preserve a known error to protect traffic or an earlier editorial position.
