Calculation Formulas & Steps
1. Map Compensation to MSC Bracket
Locate your compensation range in the official SSS table to determine your Total Monthly Salary Credit (MSC) between ₱5,000 and ₱35,000.
2. Split Regular MSC and MPF MSC
The first ₱20,000 of MSC funds regular social security. MSC from ₱20,500 up to ₱35,000 funds the Mandatory Provident Fund / MySSS Pension Booster.
3. Apply 2025 Rates (15% Total)
For employed members, the 15% rate is split 5.0% Employee Share and 10.0% Employer Share (plus ₱10 or ₱30 EC). Self-employed/voluntary members shoulder the combined 15%.
Assumptions & Rules
- Calculated using the official 2025 contribution schedule mandated by RA 11199 (15% contribution rate, MSC up to ₱35,000).
- Employees' Compensation (EC) is ₱10 for MSC below ₱15,000 and ₱30 for MSC of ₱15,000 and above.
Exclusions & Edge Cases
- Does not calculate optional voluntary WISP Plus / additional pension top-ups beyond statutory MPF.

Understanding the 2025 SSS Contribution Schedule
Under the Social Security Act of 2018 (RA 11199), the SSS contribution rate adjusted to 15% starting January 2025 (5% employee share and 10% employer share).
The Maximum Monthly Salary Credit (MSC) increased to ₱35,000. Compensation above ₱20,000 is automatically credited to the Mandatory Provident Fund (formerly WISP, now MySSS Pension Booster), which earns additional tax-free retirement dividends for the member.
